I want to ask those that attended different sections how the admission was handled for the tourney. I was totally baffled when on Saturday evening my wife and I traveled to the 16C tourney hosted by Perham. We arrived just as the game was getting underway and when approached the gate they have what I would expected $5.00 for adults, we paid and entered the grand stand with the thinking we were going to watch two games from the winners bracket (5:00 and 8:00 games). About the 7th inning we got the announcement that they would appreciate our cooperation with clearing the grand stand at the completion of the 5:00 game and to re-enter pay another $5.00. I have never encountered with that level of ball. Even at the state it is $6.00 for the day whether you watch 1 or 4 games or 40.00 if you got the tournament pass for the 3 week-ends. If my wife and I would have attended all four games held at Perham for Sat. we would have had had to pay $40.00 for both of us and this would be $12.00 at the same type of set up for 4 games at the state for the one day. This I felt was just chasing those average baseball fans away from the park instead of staying around to watch the next ball game. Maybe having a bite to eat or a beverage, a huge amount of money was surely lost in concession sales. If this continues to hold true for next weekend a team plays back to back games a couple would have to pay $20.00 for two games. We could watch a Twins game for this amount. Now am I over reacting or do we have a legit complaint here?

That happened in Carlos yesterday as well. We didn't like the way it went either, and I could be wrong but I don't remember it working that way in the past.

Sign at Ticket Gate Said:
Adults $5.00
Kids $3.00 Under 6 Free
Nothing was said on the sign it was per game or all day. Most people assumed it was for the time no matter how many games.
So if my wife and I were to attend three games and have two kids that $16.00 per game 3X$16 $48.00 plus food and beverage thru out the day.

I am wondering if your regions charge the wifes of the ballplayers to get into the games. I know some places they don't. Just Curious!

Ok - We hear you -- But let look what it would cost to go to the MN state wrestling (since your name suggest that you might be a wrestling guy) to go to 1 session - I drop $5 - $10 to park ( have not even made it to the door) An Adult ticket cost $14.00 - So to park and get in the door i am already around $20. Let get a pop at the excel - my guess is $3.00 - Hotdog $4.00 - So i am at $30 add my wife we are at around 60 - bring a couple of kids at 9 bucks a head, that number get to a hundred buck real fast. I think if you compare it to a state high school event (heck even our local school charges 6 buck and 4 for kids to see a regular high school game), that section is still a very good bang for the buck. I get what your saying they could have been more clear - I would also guess the people from the area, likely understood the format. - I think a good idea would be for teams that are hosting to list the match-ups, where the games are, time and gate on this site, so if people want to take a drive and watch some ball they can be aware of whats going on ahead of time. I don't think they are out of line at all -

What of the posts on here were trying to imply that I was to cheap to pay this admission. For you information I spent $48.50 last night in Browton. It was just myself and no I didn't have any beer last night. So again I was asking what others handle their gate. Really just posting on the principal of the thing and the spirit of small town baseball. AMEN
