How many Baseball Teams out there have a Gambling Permit? Or have someone attached to there team with one, i.e. Lions, Knights of Columbus, VFW, etc
Just looking into the legal issues of helping you guys out with your fundraisers.
Thanks, LMK

I don't think many teams have a gambling license. i do know of some teams that have gambling organizations that contribute to youth teams and those youth teams play on the same fields as some of the town teams...so the amateur baseball teams can share the field with the youth...from the research I've done, gambling licenses can only give to charitable organizations or youth organizations...i don't think any of our town teams are charitbale organizations...maybe, just maybe a nonprofit so that they can conduct some fundraising...this is a sticky, sticky issue legally...though I don't know your background salsal...maybe you know more than me...

And we all know that if you piss off your local athletic club, they are more than happy to cut off the amateur team, right johnnyg08.

how soon people forget that if it wasn't for a certain person who took over a certain athletic club when everybody else quit...that the entire program would've folded including the youth program. bottom line. but we're not going there on this thread.

The baseball team itself may not be a charitable organization but you can form one. Then that organization can donate all of its earnings to the baseball team.

Exactly! The charity would put up the license if ever asked, and in the meantime the team would collect funds for there team...
Finalizing the details...more to come

For those that are interested, I am putting together a program where you will be able to get equipment discounted and then raffle it off and make PROFIT for your team on the Raffle.
You would need to have a organization with your club that has a gambling license for your team to "Host" the raffle... Anyone may buy a ticket. The License would need to be provided if ever asked for by officials.
PM or Email me if your team would like tro be included in this opportunity to add more money into your team Chest!
